Testimonials

Rucks N Mauls summer rugby camps are a fantastic week for participants to experience a range of coaching methods and technique in a fun, enjoyable and challenging week of rugby and culture. Below are comments from our latest camps:

I really learnt a lot. It was extremely enjoyable and the Haka was absolutely brilliant and very good fun. (Participant- aged 10). I thought the coaches did an excellent, professional job. Alastair increased in confidence and knowledge and had great fun. (Participants- father).

Thank you for providing such an excellent rugby summer camp. Our ten-year-old son and eight-year-old daughter had a fantastic time. The varied programme of training games was well-organised and the children had a lot of fun improving their rugby skills. They would definitely like to take part again next year.

The boys are now full of enthusiasm for the coming season. Hosting a coach was great fun - Nigel was easy going and felt like one of the family! (Hosting family)

Forget 3 weeks in Portugal !!!!, Max spent a week at Rucks N Mauls in Malton and had great fun, met some new friends and most of all learnt good rugby skills that will start him off with his 1st season of contact rugby at school. Thank you to all the coaches who made it possible, and please can we come back next year???

My son attended one of the camps this summer and he had a fantastic time. He came home on an evening absolutely shattered but really buzzing with all he had been taught and learnt that day. He is only eight but he really benefited from their training and experiences. He is looking forward to putting all of his new skills into practice in the new season. The coaches are very good with the children but are also strict which was great to see as it showed the children were listening and learning and not just there for a mess around. He has also asked if he can go again next year which to me says it all. (Parent)

An excellent way for children to learn new skills. All while having a great time in a disciplined competitive atmosphere that the children enjoyed. Children of different abilities were welcomed. Knowing that the coaches were all CRB checked was reassuring. (Parent)

What a fantastic week for all the boys (and girls)! I have never seen my son so exhausted, yet still buzzing about it. All the parents are already talking about next year. (Parent)

Our son had the time of his life. Given up football forever...... thanks for a great course look forward to seeing you all next year. (Parent)

The Rucks N Mauls summer camp was well organised with all the participants being included in all the aspects of the activities. It was a great opportunity to develop your rugby skills and to improve your team work. (Parent)

Thank you for an enjoyable week. The coaches quickly gained the boys respect and taught them the importance of discipline on the pitch. They managed to deal well with boys of differing ages and ability, some adverse weather conditions and the inevitable minor injuries. My son is keen to go again next year. (Parent)

Alex used up more energy in those 5 days than in the rest of the summer holidays. He loved the idea of wearing a gum shield, and the look on his face when doing the 'haka' was priceless! (Parent)

My son had the best week of his summer. We were a bit worried that he might find it too much as he has only done one term of rugby and is only 6yrs old but he had the time of his life. Great organisation, plenty of fun and a no nonsense attitude is what many young boys need as well as plenty of running about and some 'rough and tumble'. James has already said that he is going to rugby camp again next year...he can’t wait! (Parent)
